- The sodium and potassium amounts are meaningful and clearly stated rather than hidden inside a low-dose wellness powder.
- There are only three ingredients, with no colours, sweeteners, flavours, gums or unnecessary fillers.
- It works well when I want minerals without turning water into a sweet drink.
- The high potassium content is also why I would not recommend it indiscriminately to everyone.
How I use it
- I start with 3 g in water when sweat loss, heat or exercise makes additional sodium and potassium reasonable.
- The label permits up to 6 g daily, but I adjust to actual sweat loss, food intake, blood pressure, medications and kidney function.
- I add lemon or lime when I want flavour rather than choosing a sweetened electrolyte powder.
Electrolyte needs vary substantially. More is not automatically better.
